Valentines Day Photos
To all of our parents:
-who work so hard to help our babies be successful..
-who go out and buy wacky tacky clothes to celebrate all the silly things we do..
-who volunteer to help, even though you know you will need a tylenol (or 5) the minute you leave our class.
-who have to do homework while driving down the road so we can get to the next level on our rocket math..
-who send in school supplies even though the year is over half way over.
-who love us even when we come home covered in paint and who knows what else...
WE LOVE YOU TO PIECES!!
Truthfully, Mrs. Mills and I cannot thank you all enough!! You are AMAZING!
Reading Eggs and Dreambox
The students always tell me that their favorite center is our technology center (I pretend not to be offended!).. However, I will give them the benefit of a doubt. Our school was lucky enough to get to purchase programs like reading eggs (for reading) and dreambox (for math). We work on these site nearly every day. Both of the sites are amazing and the kids can even access them from home. The links are located on the side of the blog. (Reading eggs login is hes; password is eggs) and each of my students passwords for dreambox is the ladybug. If you get a chance, have your child to show you aroud the sites. I can see such a big difference in students who work with these programs!! This is a perfect rainy day activity :)
I Have a Dream
As we celebrated MLK Day, the students were asked to think about their own dreams. Later, we created writing pieces titled "I Have a Dream..." We illustrated our writing by dressing up as our future careers. Check out your future doctors, fire-fighters, teachers, policemen, athletes, and much, much more.
